How to Calculate Flooring Material (Metric)
Esta calculadora de pisos estima la cantidad de packs and planks needed for laminate (EN 13329), engineered hardwood, solid hardwood (EN 14342), vinyl plank (LVP), or bamboo flooring. Ingrese las dimensiones de la habitacion in meters, centimeters, or millimeters for rectangular, L-shaped, or custom area rooms. Select the plank size, pack coverage, and installation pattern to get accurate material estimates including waste.
Pack Coverage
Most flooring packs cover 1.5–2.5 m². Check the product label for exact coverage. La calculadora rounds up to whole packs and adds your waste allowance (typically 10%). Standard plank sizes include 128×1285 mm (laminate), 180×1200 mm (wide plank), and 150×900 mm (LVP). Stagger joints at least 300 mm per manufacturer instructions.
Underlayment (EN 16354)
Foam or felt underlayment is required for laminate flooring on concrete subfloors and recommended for all floating installations per EN 16354. Standard rolls cover 10 m² with a built-in moisture barrier. Overlap seams by 150 mm.
Perfiles de transicion
T-molding connects same-height floors, reducers bridge different heights, and end caps finish exposed edges. Count each doorway and room transition to determine the number of strips needed. Standard lengths: 900 mm or 2700 mm.
