How to Calculate Concrete for a Driveway (Metric)
Esta calculadora estima concrete volume in m³, gravel subbase, reinforcement, control joints, and total cost for driveways. Choose from straight, flared, curved, or custom area shapes. Standard thickness is 10–15 cm per Eurocode 2.
Formulas
Concrete volume = Area × Thickness. Gravel volume = Area × Gravel depth. Control joint length = transverse cuts × width + longitudinal cuts × length. Joint spacing: max 3 m for residential driveways.
Reinforcement Options
Welded wire mesh (2.4×6 m sheets, 14.4 m² each): standard for driveways. Rebar Ø8 or Ø10 mm at 200 mm spacing both ways. Fiber mesh: ~0.9 kg/m³ added to mix.
